“Whatever you do to the least of these, you do to Me.” Matthew 25:40 As our parish community continue to age there is a greater demand for us to take care of their spiritual needs when they are no longer able to be physically present with us. Below are listed several areas where volunteers could make a difference in the life of our elders.

Minister of Care to the Homebound or Nursing Homes:Visit and/or bring communion to parishioners and Catholics who are homebound or in area nursing homes.Help gather nursing home residents for Mass or communion services.Lead communion service at the nursing home.Training and materials are provided.
Ministry to the Sick:Participation in this ministry can take the form of sending cards to parishioners we know are sick, or one can be trained to do hospital visits to parishioners who experience longer hospital stays and would like a parish visitor.
Bereavement Ministry:This involves support of a parishioner who has lost a loved one.Participants send cards and may make personal contact with the bereaved.At the parish-cluster-district level, a grief support group is also offered twice a month along with the November Mass of Remembrance.
